Why Yantrakart

Neha, with her husband Gaurav and their two sons.

HI! Iā€™m Neha. Seven years ago, I set out on a mission to create something that could positively impact the world. With this goal in mind, I began collaborating with a Fair Trade cooperative of female artisans lovingly known as Didis, from Rishikesh, an Indian city that holds a special place in my heart. My goal was to offer these women skills, mentorship, and training opportunities so that they could craft beautiful mala designs, while also gaining access to fair wages and safe working conditions.

My ultimate aim was to empower these women through their earnings so that they could financially support themselves and lift their entire communities out of poverty. I believe that by providing these women with the tools and resources they need to succeed, we can not only improve their individual lives but also make a positive impact on the world as a whole.

One of the things that makes this project so special is that it is a collaboration between myself and the female artisans. We work together to create beautiful, high-quality mala designs that are not only meaningful and powerful but also stylish and fashionable. Each mala is crafted with care and attention to detail, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal of our malas, they also serve a deeper purpose. These malas are not just fashion accessories, but also powerful spiritual tools that can help to promote inner peace and well-being. By using a mala in meditation and prayer, individuals can quiet their minds and focus their thoughts, leading to a deeper sense of calm and inner peace.

By supporting this project, you are not only investing in a beautiful piece of jewelry, but also in the lives of these women and their communities. You are helping to provide them with fair wages, safe working conditions, and valuable training opportunities that will help them to succeed in the future. By buying a mala from our collection, you are making a real difference in the world.

Lastly, I am so proud of the progress we have made so far, and I am excited to continue working with these women to create beautiful mala designs that can positively impact the world. I invite you to visit our website, Yantrakart, and explore our collection of handmade malas. Together, we can make a real difference in the world.

In conclusion, I embarked on a mission to create something that could positively impact the world, and I found that in collaborating with a Fair Trade cooperative of female artisans, our Didis, from Rishikesh, we were able to create beautiful, meaningful, and powerful mala designs, while also empowering these women to lift their communities out of poverty. By supporting this project, you are making a real difference in the world. Please visit Yantrakart to explore our collection of handmade malas and support this meaningful project.
